Zuckerberg cool? While you’re drinking the Tech Bro KoolAid, Meta is piping extreme dieting advice to thousands of teenage girls. And Zuckerberg’s wife is a pediatrician? The first three words to an incoming Medical School class: “Do no harm.”

Zuckerberg is a pathetic role model. No matter what he does with his hair, you can put just so much lipstick on a pig until all that there is cheap makeup.

Weren't Larry & Sergey working on airships since leaving Google? I'm very optimistic about that. They would unlock another wave of globalisation which would further reduce global inequality.

> "We don’t think AI will fully replace doctors"

I'm always curious when I hear people say that AI won't replace ____.

On what time scale?

Are you afraid of offending doctors?

I'm not criticizing.

I'm honestly curious because my sense so far has been that there are no reasons that AI won't become trillions of times better than humans on every single dimension.

I'm more scared of when society defends old inferior ways of doing something.

Disagree on solar and battery being "economically viable". Look at the total economic costs from mining, production, usage (with corresponding energy density), and disposal. There are some positive externalities from solar and electric cars, like less pollution in the local city air and less noise. But, there are plenty of negative ones too. I put solar on my roof this year. Used Tesla. I did the math and the payback is 5 years with subsidies, and expected rate increases. Without, it's ten plus years hence makes no sense. For sure a vanity project. Solar doesn't scale either. Nuclear is the only way forward for on demand information economy that will have things like AI, crypto, EVs begging for electrical power.
