Packy, I have been following your thinking for a while and this post hits a sweet spot. I have been designing narrative strategy for corporations since 2014 and individuals since 2020. The approach has led to the creation of what we call a Narrative Design Lab - which can be defined as a modern remix of mastermind, masterclass, coaching and agile development. We approach our craft through the eyes of a practitioner, which leads to a playbook that is actionable. It is quite instructive to read this... though I am trying to understand how the journey of narrative building from a story is different now compared to say when FB, Twitter and Reddit were launched. They gave the power 'back' into the hands of users to build narratives that are decentralized. One possible piece of distinction is that UGC on crypto stack is free of influence of big tech so a more authentic form of UGC. But everything that's making big money will end up attracting some form of big tech... thus contaminating the decentralized narrative building power of users.
