Re: Michael Levin's landmark paper wherein "This model suggests a novel perspective on aging as loss of goal-directedness" I doubt that Big Pharma will get the message - will continue their quest for the silver bullet. That was discovered a century ago as our D hormone, nothing since. At some point our species will identify another goal - such as asexual reproduction for sequential life cycles - no programming required. Returning for another life cycle, as perennial species do, will be front and center once China embraces the opportunity to expand its reverence for life cycles beyond 'drugs'.
