This hasn't appeared yet on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. Any ideas when that might happen? Would love to listen!

Great Article. I think it all comes down to production capabilities. Seems a bit crazy to be looking at two new factories when their existing factory is at the very beginning of the ramp. Another thing I've heard mentioned is the complexity of bringing multiple models to market off the bat (different components, suppliers, production engineering). Will be an interesting story to watch - the EV market is growing rapidly and there's a lot of market share available for the taking. Will come down to Rivian's ability to execute on the production ramps.

Great article! Regarding the IPO with Sofi you haven't mentioned that it is only available from the US :)

The deep dive into Rivian’s strategy and the "adventure" branding is spot on. It’s fascinating how they’ve managed to blend rugged utility with a design language that feels genuinely premium—something that’s incredibly hard to pull off in the EV space. It makes you realize that for a car brand today, it’s not just about the specs; it’s about the specific "vibe" or lifestyle they enable for the driver.

That focus on a unique driving experience really resonates with me. While Rivian is perfecting the off-road adventure, there’s still nothing that compares to the visceral, high-performance feel of a traditional supercar when you're on the right roads. For anyone who loves that side of the automotive world, being able to rent McLaren https://trinityrental.com/rent-mclaren in a place like Dubai is the ultimate way to experience the polar opposite of Rivian’s utility—pure, unadulterated speed and precision engineering. Both represent the pinnacle of automotive "adventures" in their own very different ways!

Rivian’s vision of adventure truly redefines what it means to explore the great outdoors with electric power. The blend of rugged performance, cutting-edge tech, and environmental responsibility is exactly what the future of off-roading should look like. For those who dream of owning such innovative vehicles but want a more affordable option, I highly recommend checking out salvage car listings on https://www.autobidmaster.com/en/search/salvage-motorcycles/ . It’s a smart way to find quality vehicles, including electric models, at prices that won’t break the bank. Whether you're after a Rivian or something similar, this platform offers a wide selection worth exploring. Great journey starts there!

Useful, substantive, and witty. The pre-IPO process excludes retail investors the best it can. Tried SoFi. The price was $ 72-74. I registered. They had notified at 10:30 PM EST to confirm with a price of $78. When I woke up at 4:30 AM, the confirmation period had expired! The lesson: Go to sleep with your phone enabling noisy notification from SoFi. Obviously, you cannot set a limit order with pre-IPO. I wonder what is the experience of others who tried to participate. Perhaps you can distill some lessons for the community.

Count me in. Also love these IPO for retail solutions on SoFi and RH.

Curious how / if the gender discrimination lawsuit the thesis at all. Seems very reliant on RJ and brand of esg. Toxic bro culture could be a flag, albeit small one.

Nice piece. I do think competitors will play a substantial role though (despite it being a huge pie). The price point of both the F150 lightning and Cybertruck ($40k base) may be enticing enough for folks unsure about the whole electric thing to dip their toes. Still exciting stuff for a space in desperate need of an update!
