This might have been one of the biggest Holy S**T Weekly Doses. Exciting an awesome things all around. Reflecting sun light night could be tricky though. Far from being a NEPA stan but what about animals around the solar farms and the people living with constant light?

It's a good question -- a lot to work out there, although I think that they can shine the light pretty directly, the solar farms are often away from people, and they don't shine with more intensity than regular sunlight.

Maybe the satellites could convert the solar energy into a highly dense laser before beaming it down? That could be more efficient and less brighter.

Wow, this issue was huge!

I'm surprised NEAR Protocol hasn't taken off, given that its transaction fees have ALWAYS been cheap without requiring an L2. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/near-protocol/?update=1710525018178 is currently ranked #18 (Bitcoin is #1, and Ethereum is #2).

I love that video about the Figure 01 robot.

Imagine being able to rent that for $500/month. How many would you get, and what would you ask them to do? And what would that free YOU up to do?

Your story about watching Starship was fantastic. ❤

NEAR is cool! I think it's just that half of the battle is tech and half is ecosystem, Ethereum and Solana have done a great job with the ecosystem stuff.

Good point. That's been a pattern with me. I get drawn to cool tech (and offering helpful products) and haven't given enough attention to marketing and promotion.
