Regarding Biden’s nuclear initiative, I think this is the first time in my life that a sitting President has unveiled a major policy initiative AFTER losing a Presidential election. He should have done this back in 2021 instead of IRA or Build Back Better. It makes me wonder how serious he really is about it.

And, yes, I know that Biden did not technically lose the election, but you know what I mean.

We are getting closer to operating system like programming capabilities at the biological level. That does not necessarily make me optimistic though.

The part about the renaissance was inspiring - although, just imagine if we could give more people Medicis level of patronage, without the need to win some "get the favor of that rich dude" lottery ? Don't you feel sad about about all the bastard sons of countryside lawyers who never got the chance to be the DaVinci they could have ?

Also, about the joke about DOGE getting rid of the nuclear program from Biden : the fact that joke about it is a tell about your discomfort. Welcome to "I hope I'm on the good side of the prince's decision" world. Too bad we never though of some ways to avoid that arbitrary stuff :P

Can you please provide the map showing where all earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, wars will take place in the next 250,000 years so we’ll know exactly where to place nuclear plants? Do you have Nostradamus on speed dial? The fact is you have no idea how to keep nuclear materials safe. The last 75 years have shown it’s unsafe. Please provide what percentage 75 of a 250,000 is for your readers. Such a small sample size would get you laughed out of a lab.
